I’ve been blogging since 2009, back in those days when the internet was just starting to take over our lives and we were moving everything online. These days you’ll find me at Karlie Parker Author, but I still update this ICONIC site.
This lifestyle blog takes you on a journey through my creative thoughts, life in Edinburgh and London, my dating life, my digital marketing and journalist career history, motherhood and more recently Yoga Teaching. The name is a nod to finding and understanding myself, at times in my life when I needed to know!
But, more than anything, it acts as a kind of social diary of the time – I even wrote a post about selfies! There’s film reviews, thoughts about being a writer, events reviews, spanning my 30’s to my 40’s, a whole ten years of my life online and digitised.
It’s my own personal directory and yours to enjoy, comment, like and share!
Work with me
I have an extensive history writing articles for many brands, beauty, lifestyle and fashion. I also provide blogs for a varied range of clients, you can contact me via LinkedIn if there’s a project you’ll need help with.
I adore writing, and during my time with The People’s Friend, I created the popular Writer’s Tools thread, something i’m proud to see is still thriving! For more writing advice, head to my website karlieparker.com – here’s you’ll find advice, courses and eBooks!
My Writing
Fiction Books
Enjoy reading my most recent fiction novel, Christmas at Seacolme Cottage. Set in the beautiful coastal town of North Berwick, Scotland, Isla is looking for love close to home. But with her meddling Nana intend on helping her, will the course of love ever run smoothly? The Seacolme Cottage series has four books, Summer, Autumn and Spring. I’m currently working on two further fiction books and hope to have these published in summer 2023.
Non-Fiction Books
My many years working in the digital field mean i have a lot of information to share, but I absolutely love helping people navigate the online space. My eBook Social Media for Complete Beginners, is ideal if you are a newbie to social media.
