Tuesday night in Edinburgh and a light mist descended on us all. It was truly shaping up to be a dismal night, staying in and watching TV the only thing you’d want to be doing. But I had plans. ROX were opening their latest jewellery store in Edinburgh and I was invited along.

If you read this blog or my twitter regularly you’ll know that I sometimes complain about Edinburgh and it’s typical for me as a London girl to think it falls short in some areas.

But boy did Edinburgh show me that if there is something Edinburgh is good at, it’s throwing a party.

The newly refurbished Assembly Rooms on George Street were host to the launch night of the Jewellery Store ROX, making it’s Edinburgh debut. Its luxury boutique store, located within the Assembly Rooms opened with so much glamour and glitz I had to double check I wasn’t wearing red shoes i’d clicked three times saying ‘there’s no place like home’……. And girls, this isn’t just any jewellery store, this has it’s own Laurent-Perrier champagne bar!

ROX is a luxury jewellery store like no other in Edinburgh. This could prove extremely handy for the Beau when searching for THE ring, and giving him champers to numb the effect of paying for one of the many, gorgeous, sparkly diamond rings. A quick glance over of the glass display cases and the words Want! Want! Want! went through my mind several times.

But don’t take my word for it, either go along or look at their website They also stock an impressive set of watches, so the boys will not be disappointed!

Along the red carpet and upstairs in the main room, I met many friends, it seemed every one in Edinburgh was there, (still not sure how I got in), and we all sipped cocktails and ate canapes while Labrinth performed a fabulous set.

Ahhhh Edinburgh… just ahhhhh xx
